SMART Seniors Pilates

Strength which comes from the core, supporting movement, the spine, daily activities

Mobility through increased flexibility throughout the body

Aligment which starts with reducing imbalances in the body

Resistance work that is safe and critical to muscle and bone density

Timeless exercise that is appicable to all ages and body types

Pilates is an exceptional workout option for Seniors regardless of current fitness level due to its focus on building core strength, flexibility, coordination, better alignment and better posture.  Pilates builds these strengths through exercises developed by Joseph Pilates over 50 years ago and they have stood the test of time.  All exercises are easily modified to accommodate individual physical needs.  Joseph himself practiced his method well into his 80s.
